WordPress pain-points

  • Hi guys,
    I’d like to hear about what you, as a WordPress developer, feel are the main pain-points that “hurt” you the most. What are the elements of a WordPress app that you find most problematic.
    For example, plugins and themes often mean heavy database queries.

  • When you install a plugin, it puts stuff on the mysql database yet when you uninstall the plugin…that stuff stays.

    @miroslav – Sometimes that’s a good thing. What about those times (we’ve all done it!) when a plugin gets uninstalled by a customer, or something corrupts the file and it’s deactivated, etc. Then when you go back and re-install the plugin again, all of the data is still there, ready and waiting just like it was before. For me that’s a bonus. Plugins do have the option to remove their data if uninstalled, and the good ones that I’ve seen show that option ot the user to let them decide. It’s up to pluign authors to implment these things properly. ??

    Do you mean app like for a phone, or app like a plugin, or app like a desktop app? Or … app like appPresser?
