Editing page per widget area

  • Currently WordPress by default loads al widget area’s to edit (place widgets in it and adapt the parameters). However more and more themes implement loads of widget area’s and this makes the editing and loading of widgets often very slow. A nice enhancement would be if in the future the widget management would be more like it is in the menu: First pick the widget you want to use from a selection box and then start filling it.

  • i agree with you. i think there should be a search box with an autocomplete feature so that the matching widgets only appear and from where they could be dragged to the widget area.
