Export 1.5 Files?

  • Greetings. I am currently running a blog using WP 1.5. I need to restart my blog on another server. I am not a tech person, nor do I maintain the server which hosts my blog.

    Is it possible for 1.5 to export my articles, so I can import them into the latest Word Press version on another site? I do not need the comments, but would like to save the old articles.

    Longer version: you have two options.
    a) Update the old WP installation to the latest and then export/import.
    b) Install the same old (1.5) version on the new location, do the export/import thing, and then update it.

    BTW, Nothing is in your files! All the content is in the database, so you need to backup the database.
