Backing up a hacked site
-
Hi all!
I’m the owner of DutchReview. And since the summmer the site has been hacked/malwared or something. I first was able to restore it, but it seems that there is still some nasty hack down there with certain plugins continually failing on me all at the same time. Since the website needs a heavy facelift as well I’m planning to get the whole thing built up again once more. But since the last backup is of May this year I want to back up all of the posts/user-accounts/media that was put on since that back-up. So my questions are:
– Is there a way to back up these posts? And will these posts be virusfree? I can remember that most of the dangerous stuff got into things like the header.php and such.
– How are FB-likes and links and URL-structure memorized? How can I make sure that the new website has the same URL’s?Thanks for the answers!
(And yes I feel stupid for not backing things up properly)
