Current post showing up as content for every old blog post

Here is my issue. I’m relatively new to the blog so I’m definitely still learning. When I put up a new post, the content appears on the homepage. However, if I pull up any of the permalinks for old posts, only the current content shows up. So my current post is (my adoptions story part 2) but older posts about any number of topics show their correct content in the summary but then when you click on them, they bring up the current post. This happens every time I put up a new post.
