Thanks for a great plugin guys, I’m using it on several sites and has over the years drastically decreased the number of attacks.

However, for this last site I’m working on, I can’t for some reason not hide the login area.

I’m using iThemes Security ver. 4.4.23 with WordPress 4.0. “Hide Backend” is activated and a slug is set. The slug URL works great, but unfortunately also the regular wp-login url. The only plugins installed/activated besides iThemes Security is “Coming Soon / Maintenance mode Ready!” version 0.5.4.

Any ideas how to solve the problem above?

  • Hi,

What theme do you have installed? Could you try testing with a WordPress default like Twenty Fourteen?

    Thanks,

    Hi Garroald,

I’m currently using a theme called “X” made by Themeco (ver. 3.0.1). I also tried using the Twenty Fourteen theme with no luck…

    Hi,

Have you tried disabling the maintenance mode plugin to see if that helps?

    Thanks,

Thanks Gerald, but no luck there neither. I will now, during next week, make a complete reinstall of the whole site and see if that solves the issue. I’ll keep you updated. //Jonathan
