Traditional Blog Layout

Hello!

I am new to wordpress, and the Hueman theme is amazing, I absolutely love it. My question is – can the blog post layout be shown as full posts in sequential order? An example would be my current blog on https://www.pure-fitness.org (blogger), that I am trying to transfer to wordpress using the Hueman theme (www.barbellsandcurls.com). If not, how do i get all of the pictures and excerpts to be cropped even in a grid? Currently they are staggered as some pictures are larger than others.

Any help would be great!
