Plugin is blocking WordPress Likes feature in JetPack

    Hi,

    This plugin is blocking the WordPress Likes feature in JetPack from properly loading. It may also be in combination with the Amazon Product In A Post plugin, but I don’t think so. I tested with both on, one or the other off, and then Amazon off but 8tracks on and I found that Likes won’t load the button or images it is supposed to.

    Please take a look at this asap and issue an update asap. I don’t want to lose my 8tracks widget as I work closely with the service and need that to function correctly without impacting other plugins.

    Check the homepage of Netmix.com and you’ll see the Likes button and images not loading properly.

    Thanks for getting in touch, and for using the plugin!

    So, I’m noticing that your homepage has some blocking errors. In Firefox, you can open the Inspector and see them in the console. There are a number of loading errors being caused by other plugins and scripts. So, yes, on that page Jetpack Likes won’t load. But if you look at this page – https://netmix.com/8tracks-the-disco-fries-pumpkin-spice-playlist/2014/10/06/7028/ – for example, you’ll see that they work fine. Actually, the posts on the front page load the Jetpack Likes fine when you actually click on them. So, this is something with scripts that load on your homepage. I’d start there.

    Cool. It’s an obvious thing, but make sure all your other plugins (and WP) are up-to-date. If you’re using caching, it might be worth clearing that cache, too. I’ve run in to the odd plugin problem after upgrading, and this has occasionally been because of the cache.

    I’ve tried the 8tracks plugin with Jetpack likes, and it’s working fine for me. If I get a chance, I’ll see if I can try some of your plugins with it, too. (On vacation for a week, though, so not sure when I can.) Good luck!

    Maybe it’s just Amazon Product In A Post and the way I turn them on and off seems like 8tracks is impacting, but maybe not.
