I followed the directions to add google analytics from this page:

    https://themesandco.com/snippet/adding-google-analytics-customizr/

In a nutshell, it asked me to add a piece of code to my functions.php in my child theme.

When I did, and hit update. Everything broke. Now, when I try to access any page, control panel element, anything, I get this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/uoalogin/public_html/wp-content/themes/customizr-child/functions.php on line 24

Can someone please help me. My entire site is now broken.

    How can I fix this.

  • You keep marking your post [resolved] which isn’t going to help you get views.

You indicate you’re running WP 3.9.2, not the latest v4.0. You need to upgrade to get best support

Don’t panic, you need to fix the error you’ve added at line 21 in your Child Theme functions.php. Temporarily rename it (eg functions.old) and site should work whilst you fix it.
