Hi There. i’ve tried this plugin on two separate websites using Yootheme.com themes. i got the API from Google Places as you outlined in instructions in the plugin and i put the widget in the sidebar. You can see on this page where the widget should be, but it’s no where to be seen: https://smilesinthegardens.com/patient-services/

i’d LOVE to buy the pro version because we’d like more reviews to display, but i’d like to have this resolved before doing so. We are using the widget and searched for the Google Place and when found, i selected it.

However, as the developer, i used my Google account to get the API. My question is whether or not i have to the same Google account as the Google Places? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you email me at support at wordimpress.com with details about the Business you want to list and the exact code you used to configure the widget with? That would help a lot. Thanks!

Hi there. i emailed you a couple days ago with login details. It looks like it’s theme related. With Yootheme themes it doesn’t display at all. You may want to check into that since a lot of people are using yootheme and your plugin is awesome, i just want it to work. Thanks.

For all of those who have had issues with the widget not displaying, i took the plunge and bought the pro version to test if the shortcode would work, and it does. However, the widget still doesn’t display.

The tech support is SUPER POOR and the creator hasn’t responded to my emails or in this thread. So, just FYI. i’ve waited over a week for a solution. So, it will cost you $19 to solve the problem i guess.

Phil Ryan, I’m sorry you are unhappy with our support. As was discussed in the email you sent your problem is that your theme has conflicting styles which are causing trouble with the display of our plugin. Troubleshooting theme conflicts really should lay within the realm of the theme author since it is their theme which has targeted the DOM elements to broadly.

Nevertheless, I’ve scheduled to take a look at your specific case today. We did spend a good amount of time last week dedicated to tightening up our code base for all our plugins in order to try to avoid all these types of issue, but it’s impossible to prevent conflicts with every stylesheet that exists in the WordPress world.
