Drop Down menus in Twenty Eleven Theme

Hi, there is a gap between the main nav bar and the drop down menu which I desperately need to get rid of! Can someone help. I am using the twenty eleven (dark) theme and editing the css etc in a child theme. Have tried all the online help but just cant get rid of it. Thanks
