  • Yep, if you want to use just 1 library then put something like this on your page, where the numbers are cat ID’s:

    [link-library-cats categorylistoverride="1,2,3,4"]
    [link-library-cats categorylistoverride="5,6,7,8"]

You can find the cat ID’s on the link categories page. Just hover over the cat name and get the ID from the url.

If you want to use multiple libraries then for each library specify the cat ID’s (or use the select list) in the Categories to be displayed. If you use library 1 and 2 then you’d put this on the page:

    [link-library-cats settings=1]
    [link-library-cats settings=2]

Then you mess around with all settings until you get something like this (which made my hair fall out in the process hahaha)

    Thank you for the reply!
My problem was also that I did not sorted out how to create libraries.
But now I find it out and with your suggestions everything is solved!!!

    thanks a lot!

    Hey, you’re welcome.

BTW, you can also use the settings=X inside those categoylistoverride shortcodes, otherwise they default to library 1. I’m only using that once to create a drop-down instead of a table I use in library 1. See halfway this page.

    Anyway, enjoy !

One more thing: as you’re specifying lists of ID’s you can now sort them exactly the way you like. Simple sort the comma seperated ID’s how you want, and use the weblink categories sort order “Order of categories based on included category list”. I don’t know if you can set the order when using that select list option, as I’m not using it.

I tried selecting the categories from the back end panel, and it works.
so when a user suggest a link he can choose the category and the work is only to approve it or not.
