Failed to connect to FTP Server

  • Hello,
    suddenly today when i went to install a plugin it started to ask for my ftp Connection Information. thats ok. but even after providing my ftp access it says cant connect. im kinda new so need to have some experts guide.
    im using WINSCP for my ftp.
    when i access my FTP i use
    Host: 128.XXX.XXX.XX (my ip address)
    user: root
    Password:
    file protocol: SFTP
    port: 22

    what i can see in wordpress, i cant set port and Connection Type available: FTP & FTPS (SSL), no SETP

    sorry to ask but where im doing mistake can someone tell me?
