Images that are remote dissappear

Do the images that are called from other sites disappear when you are not using this plugin? The plugin doesn’t do anything that should make remote images disappear (although it probably won’t resize them). However, your RSS feed might not show remote images for other reasons, especially depending on how you are viewing the RSS feed.

they show fine without the plugin on but as soon as i turn the plugin on the Iams cat food bag resizes to proper dimension but the other two “remote” images go away. Appreciate your quick help in this.

I Notice that the images that disappear are PNG does that have anything to do with it?

I’m still investigating this, but I’m afraid the answer might be that it just doesn’t work with external images. I’ll see if I can do anything about that, but at this point I’m not sure that I can.

for me it would be ok if it only resized “local” images and left external images alone. I hope you have some luck as your plugin is just what i need if it can just leave external images alone or apply the resize properly so they dont disappear. THANKS for looking into this.

I’m sorry, but I still haven’t been able to figure out why this isn’t working. It doesn’t help that I’m super busy with some other projects right now.

Is there any reason why you have to use external images? Why not just download the images and upload them to your site?

Morgan. Its ok for now I am just manually making all my images 600 wide or less but would much rather use your plugin so could have bigger images.

Not having remote images isn’t possible because it actually updates the image as my posts are time sensitive so images are updated as time expires.

I know this was ages ago, so you have probably found other solutions in the meantime… But just so you know, I have completely rewritten the plugin, and it now supports remote images.
