I use Ryan Boren’s themeswitcher plugin on my site, a believer’s journal, with five different themes available. My question: Some of the themes have customized page templates (e.g. for links, archives, contact) while others do not. Is there any way of writing a page to one theme that will be available only when that theme is selected and not to other themes? Pages customarily are part of the common database and appear in all themes. In other words, could I write a contact page for the Vidiyal theme which would only appear on the site when that theme is selected?

  • What you could do: hide/exclude that page from being listed in the menu in all the other themes.
That is done on theme level; i.e. the Page will be always in the database, you just don’t show it in your other themes.

    That makes sense. Thank you!
