    Hi there.

Nice plugin, just having some issues running on my setup though.

    Here’s my site: qiblafinder.net

Interested in changing the fonts on the product pages e.g. https://www.qiblafinder.net/product/qiblafinder/ and other pages.

I tried changing the fonts but they wouldn’t change. Only the colour changed and I could change the line spacing. Is there a way to fix this?

Also notice how the text in the table, and the bullet pointed text in “other pros” section remains completely unchanged (it’s grey like it was before). So paragraph settings don’t seem to work at all on those bits of text.

    Appreciate your help, thanks!

    Hi unshareef,
Could you give me more specific information on the elements that you are looking to change (i.e which particular headings/fonts/etc) so that I can help you with this. Cheers

    Hi Sunny,

It is basically the content in the product information. There are heading 1 through to 6 and paragraph, and light text as well (which is bullet pointed).

    Thank you

    Hi unshareef,
This issue is occuring because your theme options and css is overriding the styles generated from this plugin. To solve this just create font controls (by going to Settings > Google Fonts) for the following and they will be available in the customizer for you to use automatically. Be sure to check the force styles checkbox for each control as it is needed in your case to override your theme.

    • Theme Paragraphs: #content p
    • Theme List Items: #content ul, #content ol
    • Theme Heading 1: #content h1
    • Theme Heading 2: #content h2
    • Theme Heading 3: #content h3
    • Theme Heading 4: #content h4
    • Theme Heading 5: #content h5
    • Theme Heading 6: #content h6

Generally speaking to get the most out of this plugin you need to have knowledge of your themes CSS selectors. If you do not have this knowledge then any basic developer should be able to give you a hand with it. Let me know how you get on. Cheers

Hi Sunny. Thank you for the fab google font plug in. I am not css literate ?? unfortunately two of my pages are not loading with the chosen font. all the other pages and the posts i checked are correct. I dont want to mess with css so at the moment choose leave what little theme override there is with some of the fonts.

But is there an easy way to get the font change on these two ‘rogue’ pages?(funny enough both pages giving problems have to do with the same subject of class schedule and they are the most important for my classes)
could I delete the pages and start fresh to see if the coding will work with a complete new page?
thank you again- i love the look your plugin has given my site. ??

    Hi Marie,
The reason why it isn’t working on this page is because the styles are being overridden by the WordPress editor. I would suggest creating the page again (if you are copying the text from this page be sure to use the paste as text feature in the editor to prevent copying over the styles). Let me know how you get on. Cheers

    Hi Marie,
Glad you have got it working. I was wondering if you could rate this plugin when you get a moment. Cheers

    Hi,

I have a question along these lines as well.
I installed the google fonts plugin and most of the text changed over except for the home page top and bottom menus, the footer and the text excerpts for the featured pages (old city tours, art and foodie tours).
You’ll see what I mean if you look on the website home page at https://www.varanasioldcitytourscom. Can you help me with that? I tried fiddling with the style page by deleting some font family’s but the google fonts I want still didn’t go in there. I also have tried changing the font controls using using the css selectors you posted above.

I would like aclonica to be the title headers and happy monkey to be the text for the body/paragrahps.

I have explored so many forums and tutorials but nothing seems to let me override these areas. I am just a novice so I get nervous messing with the internal workings. I know you’ve completed this thread along time ago but I hope you can help with my dilemma. thanks from India!

@amy, Please change the password to your WordPress site immediately. It was just posted on the forums for all to see (before I removed it).

Eesh,I just saw that! I will do it right now. I had copied some info from a msg that I had sent to a friend (who hasn’t replied yet) and didn’t realize all of the message was copied and pasted. Sorry. Will change now.

    Hi amyeperez,
Could you post a link to a page on your site and specifically point out what you are looking to change. Cheers

    Hi Sunny,

Thanks for responding. Here is the link to the home page https://varanasioldcitytours.com/

I would like to change the text in the primary menu and bottom footer area as well as the text under the “Old city Tours”, “foodie tours” and “art tours” photos to match the rest of the page/site text.

I would like Alconica for the menu tabs and Happy Monkey for the rest of the text. I am using these via the Google fonts plug in.

Let me know if I need to get you any other info.

    Thanks!

    Hi Amy,
Just create new font controls and add the appropriate css selectors for the following:

    • Featured Content Text: #featured-content .entry-content
    • Header Menu: .nav-primary ul.menu a
    • Dropdown Menu Items: .nav-primary ul.menu .sub-menu a
    • Footer Menu: .nav-footer ul.menu a

Let me know how you get on. Cheers

P.S. This plugin is designed to be used by people who have a basic understanding of css and what css selectors are. Although I will do my best to help people that are having css selector issues, the main priority for the support that I will provide will be in relation to specific issues with the functionality of this plugin.

Thank you thank you Sunny! That worked perfectly and addressed my trouble spots! I had created font controls before but I think the CSS selectors were wrong. Thanks for you help!

    Cheers,
