Smooth As Silk

  • I recently moved one of my 4 blogs from MT. I have one general blog, two photoblogs (one mine), and a fitness. I moved the fitness. It was one of the easiest moves I ever dealt with. My archives just flowed right in.
    As a newbie to php, I have to say I think we’ll be fine together. I just completely revamped my site rather than trying to tweak my old one. Just ended up tweaking the default WP CSS. I was ready for a change anyway ;d. Still have some changes to make.
    But through these forums, I found how to do most everything I wanted. “Most Recent Posts”, Show only 5 Archive months, importing my blogroll.. Also found something for Next and Previous which I really want too. Will fiddle with that tomorrow.
    Now I just need to update my other pages.
    Anyway just wanted to say I’m glad I decided to come to the other side. It will be great watching WordPress excel. Also as soon as I get some moola transferred into PayPal, I’ll put something in the kitty.

    Glad it worked well for you. I also found WP to be fairly easy to install and any problems I had were dealt with nicely in this forum. If you run into a snag tomorrow be sure and holler. Some of the “I’ve got a problem, help me fix it or else” posts have been a bit off-putting so I have taken a back seat today but I will keep an eye out for you. Look forward to hearing about your progress.

    Looks nice here ?? I would tho’ make sure, that your footer spans over both columns. Or at least stops where 1st column stop and not inbetween 2 columns (middle of nowhere).
