Hi I have recently noticed that my shopping cart icon changes to the Pound symbol £. There are days that it will show the shopping cart symbol and other days it shows the Pound symbol £. Most of the time even for days at a time it only shows the Pound symbol Pound £.

On my Account page it shows an X Login and U Register. Why are these symbols showing up?

If anyone can assist me with an article that will guide me in the right direction or any word press member can give me some assistance regarding this, it will be highly appreciated.

  • Any URLs for those pages of your shop?

Basically, most of those “icons” are generated via fonts; and mostly those frontview styles are controlled by “theme style sheets”; maybe those changes are a side-effect of a cache plugin or a theme issue!

Hi. Thank you for your comment.

My website https://www.spyfly.co.za also check my account page.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you require anything else.

I am not sure what is wrong, maybe some modifications conflict with the selected image-font used for the cart icon!

Because, if you can look at the Mystile demo:
    https://demo2.woothemes.com/mystile/

That cart-icon is not an icon-image, it is a web-image-font.
And those image fonts are not standart, so if there is a conflict for the font-d?splay, maybe it displays another font; I don’t know much,

But in the same row, the icon before the “Checkout” link is also different/broken!

If you made any modifications within your theme, or a theme update maybe needed!

Now I have seen 4 error-warnings in the browsers java-console:
It can not load those typefaces/fonts inside the Mystile theme from your URL.

4 Fonts from origin 'https://spyfly.co.za' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy:
No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.
Origin 'https://www.spyfly.co.za' is therefore not allowed access.

    Same here.. check my site..

ManusH, thanks for looking into this for me. chetan0412 I had a look at your site, same problem as mine.

The only thing I can do is to make a backup and rebuild the website.

I have updated the theme before, I also removed and reinstalled the theme with no luck.

i think this problem is with mystile theme only.

    just try with different theme.

my page looks perfect on Artificer theme.

just had a look at my site today 04 Nov 2014 at 09:01 and the shopping cart icon is back, the Pound symbol £ is also gone. On my Account page it shows the X Login and U Register symbols are gone.

Lets hope it stays like this!

how did u solved this problem ?

    Having exactly the same problem.

Only seems to occur when first visiting the site. Clicking on the pound symbol makes it revert to the shopping cart symbol. Until the next time I load the home page that is.

    I’m using the Mystile theme.

I installed W3 Total Cache. Click on performance and selected empty all caches. After a day my problem was gone. Even if you look at my site https://www.spyfly.co.za you will see that the problem is fixed.

Give it a try and let us know in a day or so.

Hey jaco-spyfly, it worked! Only took a few minutes.

    Thanks a bunch!

empty all caches is inactive in Performance. Do I have to upgrade to Pro version, or there is something wrong with my configuration?

    thanks

    no need to answer ??
