White space from nav arrows

Hello all.
Weird one here: I’m using Genesis Responsive Slider on a child-theme built using StudioPress Executive Pro. When I use the slider with the nav arrows, suddenly there’s a 6px gap below it. It’s from the li’s that hold the nav arrows, but even when I add an ID specific margin-bottom for those li’s, the gap remains. You can see what I mean/check with firebug here:
