How to remove shipping options on downloads

At this point, there is an option that says “Product will not be shopped to the customers” see : https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1184399/Jing/2014-11-02_2127.png

I believe that one of the configuration that you can use is to enable shipping settings, and select the checkbox that I referred to for all the downloadable products.

Am I on the same page OR did you mean to hide the shipping address fields when the item is downloadable? If this is what you mean, you would need to do some code modification in the checkout page.

I was asking about hiding the shipping fields on the checkout page. Are there any tutorials or documentation about how to do this? (I’m not a developer, so I’d need some help with the coding.)

I’m actually working on the docs for the WP eCommerce. To hide the shipping address entirely, you would need to go to the checkout settings and uncheck the following boxes : https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1184399/Jing/2014-11-03_0905.png

But please note that once you hide these, you can only sell downloadables product!

What if I sell both downloadable and physical products?

If you are using any form of shipping ( enable the shipping in shipping settings ), you would need to have a shipping address. Where do you send the physical product if your customer did not give you their address?

There is a workaround with flat rate shipping, instead of using the flat are in the shipping settings, you can embed the flat rate cost to ship each product within the individual product page (in addition, by disabling the shipping settings, you would also hide the shipping calculator ).

Do you plan to use flat rate?

I’m not using flat rate shipping.
I’m just looking for a way to set it up that if the customer is only buy downloadables, the shipping options won’t appear.
