Database Error

  • I just removed the Link Harvest plugin and now I’m receiving a database error. I’m getting Error establishing a database connection on my wp-admin/index.php page and the page of my blog. It doesn’t look like my server is down so there might have been an issue when I removed Link Harvest. I removed the plugin under “Manage Plugins” then I removed it from my plugins directory.

    Any help anyone?

  • Don’t see how the two are related. It might be your database server is down.

    Can you use something like phpMyAdmin to access the database? May want to check with your host if you continue to see the problem.

    The plugin removal was a coincidence I guess. Looks like I spoke too soon, it was a host issue, it’s back up. Thanks anyway.
