Description not automatically adding paragraphs

I am using NextGen Gallery for my client who wants to advertise his various items for sale. He wants to be able to add description to the coins in the easiest way possible. Is there any possibility of allowing the description field to automatically add paragraphs as well as add styles to the words without using html into the description?
