can user upload photos/images in a site which is powered by wordpress

My site is powered by wordpress and it is working fine till date.Now i want to add a link where user can upload photo’s/images from his/her local system and will be displayed in the site after the admin authenticates.How can i do this in wordpress. Is that, it depends on the template i choose or do i need any plug-ins or is there is no option at all in wordpress??? I owned some 100 G.B’s of hosting space, so i just have to bother about how to provide this functionality(uploading photo’s). Please any one help me,my whole project is strucked bcoz of this issue.waiting…. for the reply……..
