creating and managing users in WP4.0

Hi all,
I’m new to wp, and I’ve created my first website for a friend, however, I wanted to create a user (from what I’ve read, an Editor role would be the right role for my friend), so he can login and manage his pages and post.

I don’t want him to mess up the site, just be able to update his page content.

I created an editor role, and logged in to see what he would see, however, I didn’t see “pages” on the menu, only “post”. meaning I couldn’t edit, change the content of the pages.

Could someone tell me why? Or I should be giving him a different role, such as admin?.
