Migration 0.5.5 to 0.6.1 as preparation for version 1 beta

  • The Plugin is great, I use it on every site I publish.
    And I am one of the testers of version 1 beta.

    On the other hand I am not able to update from version 0.5.5 to 0.6.1 on https://burgyzapp.de/de/ eg mainpage.

    I do use this plugin to show specific pages as a main content menue, thus I chose sort by menue. But I never got to show up a wordpress menue as tiles.

    • either with is_subpage by page ID:
    • eg1: [wp-tiles colors=’#e1e6f4,#fcb01d, #afd9ae’ template=’Bestof’ posts_query=’post_type=page&post_parent=3106′]
    • or mostly directly by calling IDs sometimes even redirecting them in order to include links.
    • eg2:[wp-tiles colors=’#e1e6f4,#fcb01d, #afd9ae’ template=”Home” posts_query=”numberposts=6&post_type=page&include=377, 1260, 66, 155, 2, 1457″]

    1. First Issue: I was never able to sort the tiles. Thus I was never able to decide in which order they show up and I do layout them according to the “random” order they show up.

    2. After update most tiles just vanish. I had to role back.

    This is just an error report.
    I will open another topic with more details by version and page.

    PS Some users might be interested in the function of showing subpages of a specific page id: I did it this way:

    [wp-tiles colors=’#e1e6f4,#fcb01d, #afd9ae’ template=’NEWS’ posts_query=’post_type=page&post_parent=8′]
