    Help! I updated the plugin and now I have a big green button instead of the delicate “read more” link. This changes the entire look of the page I created. It looks bulky and makes the the text hard to read.

    How can I get rid of it?

    It looks like there are a few options with the paid version of the plugin, but they are not included in the free option. Therefore, there is no setting I can configure to remove the buttons, change the display color, so revert back to the simple “read more” link I was previously using.

    The plugin was a life saver and exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, if I can’t get rid of these buttons, I’ll have to search for a new solution.

    Is there a way I can download and revert back to the older version?
    Is there code I can change to get rid of the buttons and replace it with the old link again?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    I did find some code for the button color, so I will try to change it to a light gray or something. I would much rather just have the blue link….but can hopefully make another color work. Or at least not look so shocking and large.

    Before you think I’m just incredibly cheap for not buying the pro version, please keep in mind that this site is for a nonprofit animal rescue, who has no budget for a website. In fact, I have donated the site and hosting to help the cause, but cannot afford anymore out of pocket expenses myself.

    I would like to suggest though, that the default color of the new button be changed. The “read more” link in blue does not show up again the deep green of the new button.

    If anyone has suggestions or some code that will help my situation, I am still all ears

    Hi,
    The Free plugin doesn’t have “link” type for Read more, it always show a button with Green/blue background color.

    If you don’t want background color for that button, you can simply add this CSS code to style.css file in your theme:

    .pt-cv-readmore {background: none !important;}

    Best regards,
