Each uploaded image is resized 22 times

    I just discovered that this is caused by the theme I am using. When I use a different theme (2013-14) I get 6 additional images.

    Hi trustedsamurai,

    Yes, creating additional images when uploading images – is a part of WP functionality (WP creates images of different size – mostly miniatures).

    You can add an image to your post or page and you’ll see that WP will create the same number of images in the wp-content\uploads\ folder, just as it does when you add images to the gallery.
