Images result as broken links in the media library and blog

Will a pdf or something show in your gallery? Is there an error while uploading the images? Is this happening on both the list and grid views?

Hi Matt, the Pdf will show like a pdf icon in the media library, but the images are just empty and show a broken link. When inserted into a page image or Pdf will just appear as a link,when clicked an error page appears. I added them to this page so you can see:

List view shows the names of the pictures but no image and as in grid the view the pdf icon appears. Grid shows no images and no names, beside for the pdf.

Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Hi, Yes i have tried shutting of all plugins but it doesn’t help. I also switched to a different theme. I have no more ideas, I checked the links and folders etc…. ‘sigh’

Have you reinstalled WordPress?

The strange thing is: when I edit an image it gives me an attachment as link: https://freie-malerei.miegl.com/?attachment_id=78 instead of a file

It is linking to a page that has the image attached. What theme are you using?

The reddle theme or any other standard

I reinstalled WP, emptied the database, changed themes and tried to access wp admin through several computers. The media remains broken …..
I tried to change permissions server-sides from 500/600/640/644

Uploaded all WP files ASCII or/and Binary… still all media is broken. I am clueless
