    Hi, how are you?

I’m using the Product Categories widget in a sidebar on my Shop page. Whenever I go to filter by a category, the following error appears, “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 201326592 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /home/communer/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 1552”

I’ve had my host increase my memory limit twice, and this is the only time the error appears on the site. Please let me know how to fix this or if this is still an issue with my hosting provider.

In addition, I have the Shopping Cart widget in the same sidebar but it’s not showing up. Does it only appear when there are items in your cart or is there an error here as well?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @blueivorycreative,

Hope you’re well today, thanks for posting! That error is still indicative of a memory shortage but it could be due to having too many plugins active.

To help though, could you let us know how much memory your site has available?

Could you maybe try deactivating other plugins to see how it works with that?

Regarding the cart widget, it should only show when there’s something added.

Hoping with that memory concern looked into, we can get this sorted quickly for ya. Looking forward to your reply! ??

    Cheers, David

Thanks so much for your response! I disabled one of my plugins (I discovered it didn’t actually matter WHICH plugin I disabled) and the error stopped occurring. I really appreciate your suggestion!
