    Hi There,

I downloaded your plugin based on the screenshots and I’m very excited to use it. I am able to add categories and subcategories via the Media Library just fine. However, when I go to a page and click the “Add Media” button to insert a categorized image, I only have the “All media items” dropdown menu, and not the “View all categories” dropdown menu like your screenshot demonstrates. I’m using WordPress 4.0 and version 1.4.15 of your plugin. Let me know if you can find a solution for this!

    Thanks,
    CodeGeek

Hi GodeGeek, nice to read you like my plugin. The function “Filter by category when inserting media” as shown in screenshot 3 is only available in the premium version.

    Hi There,

I’ve now upgraded to the premium version but the “View all categories” dropdown menu is not working with one of my custom post types. it works fine using the “Add Media” and launching the Media Library this way, but launching the Media Library through my CPT does not have the dropdown menu. Would you be able to help me with this?

    Thanks,
    CodeGeek

I’ve tested with custom post types and it’s working fine. What theme or plugin are you using that creates the custom post type?

I’m using a child theme of Hybrid: https://themehybrid.com/themes/hybrid-base. Let me know if that helps.

I have a similar issue, when I select a file, in the media library tab I can’t see the dropdown.

Looking in inspector I find this error

Uncaught ReferenceError: wp is not defined wpmediacategory-filters.min.js?ver=2.0.8:1

With theme Twenty Fourteen and wordpress version 4.0.

    Thanks for the help,
    Giuseppe

I fix the js error in the index.php of the plugin adding wp_enqueue_script(‘media-upload’); in the wpmediacategory_enqueue_media_action function.

Is it possible to replicate the behavior of “Add media” on the “Select file” button in a custom type?
