Backing up the whole blog as a text file
-
I installed WordPress on my own website. So I have the admin accesss to it.
I was writing my posts for a few months, personal posts, no other contributors. But numerous posts, hundreds.
I am no longer interested in continuing the domain and hosting. So I need to store the stuff.
I would wish to have an option where I can dump the whole content into a text file (or a readable format) so that I can refer to it in the future.
I see there is a database backup option which I might be able to figure out but again thats something which only another database software can read well. And might be a little more complicated to work with in the future (for me). A text file (or numbered multiple text files) would have been much simpler.
Can you suggest me a way I can do this.
May be someone can write a small script for this. I am sure this would be a useful utility for many others.
If this already exists and is well documented please send me information on this. And excuse this long email.
An email to [email protected] will help very much because I may not be able to log in here every now and then.
Sincerely,
Abhijit
