I’ve been struggling with this for a long time now and succumbed to asking for help. I’d normally fight with this but it’s done me i think.

Basically there’s a js error when inside the admin area of wordpress that reads:

Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: options-general.php?page=social-count-plus&tab=system_status

and this is apparantly inside the ‘load-scripts.php’ file?

I’ve tried de-activating the Social Count Plus plugin, i’ve tried removing jQuery, re-installing WP, flushing the db and various other methods and still nothing is working.

What’s happening now is that none of the admin sidebar hover links are showing there hover, the at a glance panel isn’t working and neither is the Site Stats provided by Jetpack.

    Can anyone help please?

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

If that doesn’t work, or you aren’t using a cache plugin, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks for the help… it seemed like it was “Facebook Post Planner” plugin that was causing the issue… i thought i could’ve fixed it without messing around deactivating plugins, but it seems i was wrong.

    Thanks again!
