Fancybox Stopped Working, Can't figure out why

It appears that this error only occurs on https://dev.pohlconsulting.com/case-studies/ but not on (for example) the home page. What’s so special about https://dev.pohlconsulting.com/case-studies/ ? Is it using a different theme template?

I notice some differences in the source:

1. the home page source opens with a blank line (not good, always start with doctype) and ends with a stray </div>

2. both pages have a line <script type="text/javascript" src="https://jqueryjs.googlecode.com/files/jquery-1.3.1.min.js" > </script> near the end of the source. overloading jQuery with an outdated version is not wise. remove that line and make the followinc code compatible with the jQuery loaded by WordPress (start with replacing $ with jQuery)

3. the case studies page has a line
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://dev.pohlconsulting.com/wp-content/cache/js/static/0b66110a6318a34367c0fc21c634a927.js"></script>
just before the closing </body> tag. What is that for?

Removing the outdated jquery and replaced all “$” with “jQuery” in that bottom section and now the fancybox works perfectly. Thanks!

I’m not sure what that stray js file is but i’ll look into it.

I’m also seeing a “Access-Control-Allow-Origin” error on your page. I think you’re not linking to the vemeo video’s correctly. You can’t pull in the page you need to link to the embed video link.

Hi jouri, there are two issues going on.

Your theme uses jQuery 2+ from https://bramschouw.com/website/wp-content/themes/foundation/js/jquery/jquery.min.js which is not compatible with FancyBox. If you can, make it use the one included with WordPress from https://www.bramschouw.com/website/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js

Next, try linking to the vimeos without the s in https://
