Header Image Extends Into “Gutter”
-
Hi:
I inserted the Codex’s standard code to create a border around my images. A good start, but I could use help with two issues:
1. The newly inserted “border” code also applies to my header. This looks fine, except that the border extends out into the “gutter” — but only on the right side. Is the fix as simple as reducing the pixel width of the header (assuming that the border then will follow automatically)? If so, do I accomplish this via the style.css for this theme? Here, I believe, is the relevant code:
</style>
</head><body>
<div id=”wrap”><div id=”header”>
<h1>NAME</h1>
<p>ADDITIONAL TEXT</p>
</div><img id=”frontphoto” src=”https://www.NAME.com/blog/wp-content/themes/wp-andreas01-12/img/front.jpg” width=”760″ height=”175″ alt=”” />
<div id=”leftside”>
2. Second issue is that the image borders in my Posts and Pages are so faint as to be almost invisible. The code I inserted is for a black border — and that works fine for the header, but in the posts themselves the border color is picked up from other design elements.
Last, I’m told that FireFox has an extension that allows WYSISYG code edits? Something you recommend? Any other tips?
Many thanks….
