All of the sudden my events calendar is not showing up, its just shows a regular page with nothing on it, i can view single events fine if i click on them from my dash but the list and month vies dont show. I was literally just looking at it then poof gone. I didnt edit anything at all. I have tried disabling all plugins except this one, switching themes to all of the basic ones, I deleted and reinstalled it, i refreshed the permalinks but nothing worked. I could use some help very much my site is vmariedesign.com

so i have been tinkering with things for the past hour, it an now it seems some plugins are causing it to go blank, i disabled everything again then switched tot he twntytwelve and enable tec then woocommerce and thats made it go blank. which kinda sux since i run a eCommerce website :/ it also happened when i enabled tec and a few other plugins at different times. All in all Im still lost but it seems I may have to hold off upgrading to pro and find another calendar ??

so since i really super love this plugin i just wound up trying something to work around the fact that the events do not display on the events page ( https://www.vmariedesign.com/shows). Now they all display if you are to view the page vmariedesign.com/shows/list so i basically have made it so no one gets to the page without the /list on it. I wound up deleting the <<All Events link from the single even pages so they cant get to to the blank page from there either. Not the best or a permanent solution but for now it will have to work till I or someone can help me find a better fix :/

i just had the same exact problem happen. i’m already using a twentytwelve child theme but am using WP eCommerce for the store. the calendar had been working fine all afternoon while working on it (though the events were out of order in List view…) and then disappeared when i was close to launching everything. and for me, the page with /list on it still didn’t show the events. the page title did read that it was the proper events page, but that’s it. i tried disabling a number of plugins to find the conflict and found it was the WP eCommerce plugin. when i disabled that, the calendar showed again. i’ve since re-enabled WP eCommerce and the calendar is still showing, but i’m leary of it happening again.

interesting that it seems to be the ecommerce plugins that may be what’s interfering somehow…

This is really weird. I am wondering if some of your settings got corrupted in the update. If you visit WP Admin > Events > Settings, and change the “Events URL slug” to something else. Say “tribal-tec”. Click update. Is that blank page still happening?

If not, try going to the Display tab. Disable all views except Day, click update. Then try testing? If you reenable them, and select a default View of “Month”, then click update again, does that fix things? If so you should now be able to select any settings you want and it will operate.

Aside from testing for conflicts, which it sounds like you did, I am not sure what could be the issue. Here’s how to test for conflicts, if you haven’t already definitely worth a shot before trying the above: https://tri.be/support/documentation/testing-for-conflicts/. I would stay in the default Twenty Thirteen theme and no plugins while trying the above steps, if possible. It will just help us to be sure we have covered our basics.

Please let me know how it goes. Thanks for posting. Cheers!

hi brook – thanks for your input.

the events calendar had been working fine since my last post 6 days ago but JUST NOW disappeared again while i was working on adding events and products to the ecommerce portion. again, /events page went blank.

    – i tried changing the events url slug to something completely different: still blank page.
    – i tried disabling all views except Day: still blank page
    – i tried setting a default view of month (which it has been already set as anyway): still blank page

i disabled the ecommerce plugin and re-enabled it, then the events calendar showed properly again. today, i’ve basically just been adding events to the calendar and adding products to the ecommerce portion.

i’ll have to copy the site over to a test environment to try switching themes and disabling all plugins but will update when i do or if i come across anything else regarding this.

Thanks for the update Chris. Definitely also keep an eye on your error logs, and make doubly sure your server has enough memory and that your SQL server is not encountering post limits. Obviously I am wondering if the intermittent nature of this is due to a performance cieling that you may have reached, or perhaps some glitchy or conflicting code somewhere that will show up in logs. Keep us posted if you don’t mind.

I’m investigating this issue for a client right now too. Will report back with error log details once I have them.

The issue was related to an incorrect theme template file being used. Error logs confirmed this.

Hello sry I havent been able to get back to anyone here had some unexpected family things, I tried the things Brook mentioned but to no avail, i use the High End theme template but I was using it before things went wonky. So far still the only fix for me has been the work around I used. :/

    HI VMDesigns,

Under ‘Events > Settings > General tab’ turn on the ‘Debug mode’ option at the bottom. Then check the error log for your site (if you’re not sure where this is, send a message to your host/server folks and they should be able to let you know).

Look for the “Tribe” tab in the debug output. Then come back here and post the error message that’s being generated for your site.

We can probably troubleshoot your issue from there.

I got it fixed, it was a custom plug in messing up the template.
