Media files not uploading properly?

    We are having problems with our media uploader. When I try to upload media, it just shows a broken page and nothing displays if I place the image on the site. Everything else works fine, and all the plugins and the version of WordPress we are running are current. Could anyone suggest a way to fix the problem or even tell me what the issue might be?
