  • Hi Kirsten,

    The code should just be:

    [metaslider id=306 restrict_to=home]

But it looks like you have it working now anyway ??

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

No, unfortunately I do not have it working.

I am wanting it to appear on my home page ONLY. Not on the other pages on my website. I used the above code you suggested and it does not restrict to my home page.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks
    Kirsten

    Hi Kirsten,

Do you know what has changed since it was working?

I’ve seen this once before and I have a suspicion the “is_front_page” function in WordPress doesn’t work when you’re using a temporary URL. Does it work on your local computer, and could you try putting the site onto a proper URL?

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Unfortunately I cannot put the site onto a proper URL until the client is happy. And they are not happy that the slider is appearing on all the other pages. They are only wanting it to be on the home page.

Any other way of resolving this? As this is quite urgent as deadline was meant to be met last week.

Your help will be much appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Kirsten

Unfortunately I cannot put the site onto a proper URL until the client is happy.

Can you setup a test site to replicate the issue?

    Edit:
Never mind me, I missed the whole URL from the first post…

    What do you suggest?

I want slideshow to cover my homepage, edge to edge, from left and right, zero border space.

    Sgaforov,

You’ll need to insert the ‘Template Include’ code from the Usage section of Meta Slider directly into your theme template, if you need further help please start a new thread.

Kirsten, apologies for the delay, I have been away for the week. Could you upload your site (anywhere really!) or password protect it, or do anything which means you won’t have to use that temporary URL?

    Regards,
    Tom
