Facebook Open Graph Author Tag

  • As of WordPress 4.0, I think Co-Authors Plus isn’t playing nice with Facebook. At the moment, when I post an article by author Jack Smith, the bottom of the Facebook post says:

    MovieFail.com | By: John Doe

    In other words, the wrong author meta data is being associated with the article.

    I’m not 100% sure, but I think this is a result of Co-Authors Plus and how it handles my article:author Open Graph meta tag. Perhaps is a compatibility issue with WordPress 4.0?

    In any case, I would love to find a solution for this author misattribution.

  • any luck with this? i’m seeing the wrong author names in my RSS feed, would like to see co-authors play nicer with that too…
