This plugin is very cool and easy to handle.

It would me more helpful to leave custom/existing featured images after choosing a defined category. The chosen category image overwrites/changes/deletes the custom featured image.

Maybe an additional rule makes sense on the first step: If there is a featured image in the post, stopp the insert-process.

Or do you have a workaround-solution for this?

    Thanks,
    Christ

Hi Christian, ich habe deine überlegungen nicht verstanden.

Es gibt bereits die Option, vorhandene Beitragsbilder zu überspringen oder zu überschreiben.

in english: Didn’t understand your thoughts. There is already an option to keep or to overwrite existing featured images.

    Hi Hinjiriyo,

I found this option only in the settings of “Setzen, Tauschen, L?schen”.
But will this effect the the pre-defined category images?

die Funktion habe ich schon gefunden. Wirkt sich die denn auch auf die voreingestellten Kategoriebilder aus?

Aaaah, I got it! Not in the bulk editing, but in the automatic setting.

Indeed that was the very first option I implemented while developing. But I found out that in a special case the wrong image will be set unfortunately. So I never used this option again.

What about checking a box in the single post not to overwrite the featured image?

No, the uploaded images was deleted again and it falls back to the defined category image.

Did you mean an option like “Keep existing featured images”? I will think about how to implement that in another way.

Yes, indeed. Thanks for thinking about.

It is out with the new version 8.2.2. Please check your rules.

If you find it useful I would be glad if you would leave a review.
