• I’m running the Vantage Premier theme and came across a problem.

If you use anchor links in the menu, for example, you have one long page and use the menu to navigate up and down. The links don’t work in the mobile menu. The problem is the mobile menu overlay doesn’t close, so you’re left with just a black screen.

I imagine it requires a change to the javascript to close the overlay on a click event or something similar. Anyone have any idea of which file to modify, or anyone have a solution for this.

The theme works well except for this one issue.

No one has answered, and the Vantage people have told me that it’s a limitation on their theme. Until it gets solved here is a work around.

In WordPress name the links like this:

    Instead of: <my site>/#contact
    <my site>/#services

    Use: <my site>?location=1#contact
    <my site>?location=2#services

It forces the site to reload and act like a normal link plus finds the anchors. Not ideal but at least the mobile menu works.

    Hi mcbryant,

    perfect workaround! Thanks a lot.

The guys from SO have released a new version of Vantage (2.3) which is said to solve this issue. Haven’t yet upgraded and checked, though – now that my page is up and running smoothly…
