• When I first started using Customizr everything worked well on viewing the website on a mobile phone. Now, however, the button on the mobile’s screen will not collapse down the menus on ‘re-tapping’ and it interferes with the look of the page.

Does anyone know if this is a mobile phone problem or something I can reset in the theme via a setting, please.

    Thank you.

Can you link a page with the issue?

    Dear Andrew,

What kind of page would you like?

I can take a photo of the mobile screen if that’s what you mean.

Just for info, the menus look fine on the main (web based) site.

Thank you for looking into this for me…

    I suspect a plugin conflict.

Try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. Then reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

I deactivated all of them, refreshed the phone, cleared it’s cache too for good measure but the problem is still there.

I’ve now reactivated all 12 plugins again.

Just to ask the ‘silly question’: After deactivating the plugins should I wait until the change has ‘propagated through the internet’ or are the changes instantaneous on logging in to the website? My guess is that the change is instant but I just thought I’d check.

    Thanks.

Finally got round to looking at it on a mobile. Works fine on iPod Touch.

On what device do you seeing the error?

Re your question, changes are normally instant: the files that people load when they access your web page are the ones on your server—the ones you updated 3 seconds ago, for instance. The exception to this rule is if you a “cache” plugin which, rather than serve up the pages dynamically on the spot, stores them and gives people the stored version, which is quicker. However, the downside is additional complexity/problems—not for newbies.

    Dear ElectricFeet,

Thanks for the reassurance about your phone.

The mobile is an SonyEricson Xperia.

Funny thing is that it *was* working to start with (when I first loaded up Customizr) but then always stays with the main menu down, obscuring the page. If I change to ‘Expand submenus on click’ then the menu changes to 90% or so on the right hand side of the screen but still does not expand or collapse. I mention this just in case it helps.

    Thanks for your continued help.
