How to split page into few columns

  • Hello everybody,

    I am running a faculty website using WP 3.9.1. I am planning to split the pages I have into 2 or 3 columns. I can not download some plugins because the website was provided by the university domain.

    I am hoping there is some ways I could do this.

    Another question is, how to remove title of the page. Is it possible to remove the title of page in WP 3.9.1.

    Looking forwards for fellow forumers advises and suggestion.

    do you have access to modify child theme files?

    page titles are normally set in the parent theme files and can be removed for all pages or conditionally for certain pages without a plugin

    you do not need a plugin to create columns
    generally can be done with css and some div/classes. do you feel comfortable with that kind of stuff? some themes have columns or a grid system already integrated. since I don’t know what theme you are using, it’s hard for me to tell if anything like that is available.

    Do you know php/html and css? Without knowledge of those two things and without being able to use plugins, it will be nearly impossible to complete what you are trying to do.

    thank you guys,

    basically i have not much background in website and pretty much zero in those php/html or css. still learning from youtube.

    I am using Spacious theme. I try to download plugins for example ‘page builder’ by siteorigin. But then, I dont know how it could be launched or install into my website system.

    Did you know you can install plugins right from within WordPress? You can search for them, install, and activate them all from within wordpress.

    yeah i found one plugin that already installed. visual composer. just activated. i think i could use that for the time being.
