translation not working

    Hi

    I’ve tried to install the german translation for wp-postratings but WordPress doesn’t pick it up.

    I’ve put the files into the directory wp-postratings/i18n/ then I’ve tried it in wp-postratings/languages/ etc. No luck.

    Any idea how I can fix this or find out why it doesn’t work?

    put it in /wp-content/plugins/wp-postratings/

    is your WP in german? After putting it in, is your WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Ratings Options in German?

    yes my WP is in german.

    yes. WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Ratings Options is indeed in german.

    But on the front the ratings still show in english. (No Ratings Yet) or (1 votes, average: 5,00 out of 5, rated)

    Does this mean it is not fully translated yet?

    I use

    <?php if(function_exists(‘the_ratings’)) { the_ratings(); } ?>

    to insert the ratings on the frontend

    You need to go and restore the templates in WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Ratings Templates
