Fatal error when activating Maintenance plugin

When activating WP Maintenance Mode plugin using WordPress 4.0 I get the following:
Fatal Error: Call to undefined function get_blog_option() in……………………./wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php on line 520Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
