  • I believe the stable version of WL should work fine with WP4 – I have a vanilla install working fine.

However I’m not very ‘up’ with recent WordPress developments, so I could have missed something.

I don’t really know what you mean by the drop down widgets, so if you could expand on that, I’ll see what I can do.

I’m having the same problem. I believe alanft means that the drop-down customization menu doesn’t work. I can use WL to specify language code, but it doesn’t expand to allow to select where the widget will display.

YES, Celeb, that is correct, the drop-down customization menu no longer works.

what is the drop-down customisation menu?

I uploaded a couple of screen caps to illustrate what we mean.

The widget only shows Widget logic: where we can enter the language code. There was (before WP 4.0) a ‘visibility’ button underneath that when clicked would expand the options to ‘Show if’ ‘page’. That visibility button is gone with WP 4.0.

Here are the two screencaps to illustrate what I mean. This is from another site that is not yet running WP 4.0.

    Hope this helps.

Only the single field under the text ‘Widget Logic’ comes from the Widget Logic plugin. That ‘show if’ stuff comes from elsewhere, and probably another plugin that makes Widget Logic redundant (or partly so)

Ok, I apologize for this mix-up. The ‘visibility’ module is actually a Jetpack plug-in feature, which only activates when the site is live. I just assumed that it was part of the Widget Logic plug-in because of how it displays in the admin panel.

Thanks. I deactivated Jetpack and reactivated it. This fixed the issue.

I’m using WP 4.1 and Widget Logic does not work anymore.
Is there a solution to fix the problem or an alternative to display different Widget on different language (this is my necessity, translate the widgets)?

    Thank you.
