Fatal Error – Can't Activate Plugin

  • I installed the plugin but when I went to activate it I received the message “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” My client uses constant contact and needs this plugin to work correctly, as it is the only plugin that has been updated in the past year that connects with CC.

    I’m using WP version 4.0, but it seems others are having this same problem on 3.9.2, which you claim is supported.

    I installed Newsletter Form as suggested but I still get “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” when trying to activate Constant Contact Signup Form 3.0 with WordPress 4.2.2.

    Any suggestions?

    CCSF 2.2.2 works find on my WP 3.9.6.
    Is there any way to install CCSF 2.2.2?

    Thank you for your inquiry, we love to help! This “fatal error” message can be caused by several issues that has nothing to do with the version of the plugin nor your WP Admin.

    Basically, it’s an incompatibility of the plugin with either your WordPress theme, your server or any other plugin/extension previously installed on your WP Admin.

    Make sure your theme was built with the core WordPress requirements, that your server runs PHP v5 and has cURL enabled and check that there are no other plugins/extensions installed that may affect the plugin’s functionality.
