When I create a new album and I name it Example: “XXX” (without quotations) and then go to the “Owned By” dropdown menu, “XXX” is not there. I’ve tried refreshing the browser, delete cache, going back to Album Admin and clicking on “Edit” for “XXX” and still no “XXX” in the “Owned By” dropdown.
    Any and All help appreciated,

The “Owned by:” dropdown box contains a list of user login display names of all users. The user who created the album is called the Owner of the album.

If you want your album XXX to be a sub-album of any other ( i.e. parent- ) album, select it in the “Parent album:” dropdown list.

Thank you. That is pretty much what I’ve been doing. I have a site with 700 members and not all are granted “Subscriber Level”. I have certain pages that have restricted access to “Subscribers Only”. The Photo Albums are “Restricted Access” for Subscribers Only, so not just anybody can look at them (not Public). I register each new member (User) as a “Subscriber” that meets the criteria. I did create Sub-Folders for alphabetical order of Members Ex: A’s, B’s, C’c, etc. (All Usernames starting with an “A” is in Sub-Folder “A’s”)

With me, the Admin, creating the “New User” photo album, it’s showing me as the Album Owner. My concern is, with “XXX” which would be in the sub-folder “X’s”, and me shown as “Album Owner”, would “XXX” be able to upload his or her photos into the “XXX Folder”???
Hope I haven’t made it confusing.

If this is a single site installation, or a multisite installation with WPPA_MULTISITE_GLOBAL set to true, you will find all the photos in ../wp-content/uploads/wppa/

There are no ‘album folders’, albums are only rows in the wp_wppa_albums db table.

If you use the ‘grant an album’ feature, see table IX-D of the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page where you can configure this.
If configured, albums will be created automaticly when the user logs in, and they will have their owner set also automaticly.

I recommend to tick the box in Table VII-D1: Owners only, to prevent them to upload to one others album.

For more information, please read this documentation page.
