    hello,

First of all, thanks for your plugin.

Since 2014 August 28th (some time before wordpress 4) i had problems whith mails sent from contact forms 7 : users (clients) couldn’t send mail.
After many investigatations it seems your plugin created conflict so my website was considering each form filled as spam (spam related message in contact form 7)
I tried to empty all databases, then uninstall the plugin. but it solved nothing.
Website is sending again mails from users but i had to remove contact form to db extension.
I’d be glad to provide any information to help you.

CFDB simply saves the incoming form submission. It doesn’t do anything to the form that would make it be considered spam.

If CFDB was causing an error, it is possible that the error condition would stop CF7 from sending email.

Was there any change to your PHP version? What version are you running?

My host (1and1) may have change things about php versions some time ago.
this week as I logged in my admin panel (what i haden’t done for ages) i noticed a change with addition of a menu to set up php version for each directory.
So last week i’ve set up every directory to php 5.5 (5.6 i available but they recommend 5.5)
Despite of this php version pb still happens.

Here is error message produced by CF7 when conflict happens:

    # L’envoi a été détecté comme spam
Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.

    Thanks

I have 1&1 and I just tested a form submission on PHP 5.5.16 and it worked OK. I’m struggling to think of what the problem might be. I took a look at the CF7 code that marks things as spam:

    1. Is there anything in your WordPress Settings > Discussion > Comment Blacklist section?

    2. Do you have any “add_filter” calls? That is, did you add any custom PHP code to hook into CFDB? If any of those fail, it could cause a problem.

Ensure you have the latest version of CF7 and CFDB plugins.

If you like, post the CF7 for definition here and I’ll try to duplicate it using your form.

comments containing string https:// were black listed

no special filters or code i’m a very basic wordpress admin.

some days ago, i did setup a one click installation of wordpress using 1&1 app to test wp and CF7 it was blocking mails also if CFDB was activated.

This morning it CF7 and CFDB worked well together. without version change just wp4 + CF7 + CFDB no settings done. So I suspect 1and1 was maybe linked to pb anyway (php version update needing more time than one click?)

Trying to solve that problem i tried to set up smtp using a popular extension but this is still not working despite of easy copy/paste settings. it seems my host doesn’t allow smtp mail connection.

    thanks for your time anyway
