Page Views Not Registering in Google Analytics

  • Crazy question from a super noob. I am checking my analytics and I am only showing one page view. I know that can’t be so. When I was inserting the Google Analytics codes into my site, it was only letting me paste the code into the pages I built but not into the home page. Am I crazy?

  • either insert the Analytics code into your header.php file manually,
    or install a plugin such as ‘Google Analytics by Yoast’ and configure to work.

    PS: try plugin first if you are not comfortable changing code. take backups and use child theme if changing code.
