• Hello guys,
this isn’t a coding-related problem, but a problem that every beginner faces,
I have started reading about WP for 3 months or so, I only read books at the beginning and then watched a video as a faster way to learn.
I watched a video, of course it doesn’t contain everything I need, but at least it’s a good start for me, I applied what I saw and created my own first simple theme, but that’s not enough, I have many ideas that need to come to life so, I watched another video just to improve my little skills and from here the disaster has started. I didn’t understand anything I don’t know whether I shouldn’t have watched this video at this time or it’s too advanced to me !!
I felt like I’m in a big sea I don’t know the start from the end, functions have no end and I can’t count them all or even memorize them, every coder uses different functions and has his own style in coding and for me as a beginner it’s very hard, I feel confused, down and bored.
Hint: I’m a UI developer originally and understand few the basics of php, but not a php developer but i was asked to learn wp.

So please your opinions as professional and experienced will help me a lot, is what I feel normal? what do you suggest?

Thanks a lot Mike, but do you think this is normal? I’m too confused during writing the code and I ask a lot can we use X instead of Y and so on.
Can I overcome this confusion ?

    HI

Well I don’t know how to code at all yet I still find it super simple to develop sites for people ?? WordPress makes things simple once you get the hang of the basic terminology and knowledge of the file structure, plugins, functions, etc.

Trust me, read read and read some more. Even watch some videos on Youtube. It will help a lot more than what people could convey in a support forum. I wish you the best of luck with your future projects ??

Thanks so much Mike for your precious advice ??
